OBAMACARE SUFFERS A BLOW!

Judie BrownYesterday's decision by U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson that Obamacare (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) is partially unconstitutional is the first step in what will undoubtedly be a lengthy court process. Regardless, the decision sent a ray of hope into an otherwise dismal weather day for much of the nation. It might have been snowing like mad in Missouri, but Hudson's decision sent a gale force blast at President Obama's plans to dictate how Americans will access health care.

In what is being hailed as a major victory for local pro-lifers, the University of Wisconsin has confirmed that the Madison Surgery Center will not be involved in late-term abortions and will not pursue the plans at any other location at this time. Led by Pro-Life Wisconsin [an American Life League Associate group], local pro-lifers had been battling the late-term abortion scheme, which documents revealed was designed to supply the school with fresh fetal body parts, since January 2009.

Pro Life Corner
As most of you are aware, pro-lifers have been dealing with some very difficult situations at the Rockford abortion mill for years. Why are good adult stem cells reserved only for animals in the United States?

Sound Choice
Fox News recently carried a very touching story about the family of a fallen soldier, whose military partner, a dog named Lex, they wanted to adopt in their son's memory. Cpl. Dustin Lee lost his life in a shrapnel attack on March 21, 2007 and Lex suffered shrapnel wounds to his spine. He was not recovering and so the family sought the help of veterinarian Dr. Lee Morgan, who took adult stem cells from the fat in Lex's abdomen and injected those stem cells into the injured joints. Lex is predicted to make a full recovery, finally, in as little as 2 months.
