Nine schools in California on nationwide list of ‘Catholic Colleges with Pro-Homosexual Clubs’

“We need to speak up before it's too late”

A Catholic student group has compiled its “2010-2011 List of Catholic Colleges with Pro-Homosexual Clubs,” which includes nine colleges or universities in California.

“According to research undertaken by Tradition Family Property Student Action, approximately 101 of 244 (or 41%) of Catholic colleges and universities in the United States have officially recognized pro-homosexual clubs, LGBTQ Resource Centers, or student organizations,” says a statement on the group’s website.

“Of the 28 Jesuit-run institutions of higher learning, 100% have pro-homosexual clubs,” the statement continues. “Many of these, such as Georgetown University, Gonzaga University, and Loyola Marymount University, have university-funded ‘Diversity Centers’ or other LGBT organizations that host or participate in pro-homosexual conferences with local and nation-wide homosexual activist organizations such as GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network).”

The TFP Student Action list includes the following Catholic colleges or universities in California:

Dominican University of California, San Rafael
Holy Names University, Oakland
Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles
Mount St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles
Notre Dame de Namur University, Belmont
St. Mary’s College of California, Moraga
Santa Clara University, Santa Clara
University of San Diego, San Diego
University of San Francisco, San Francisco

“When Catholic students enroll at Catholic universities, their faith should be strengthened,” said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie in a statement posted on the group’s website. “But unfortunately, their faith is often weakened by the presence of pro-homosexual clubs and immoral events.”

“Just like abortion, homosexual vice is part of the culture of death,” said Ritchie. “It should be opposed, not promoted.”

“The homosexual movement is careful to advance slowly to avoid pushback. ‘Dialogue,’ ‘tolerance’ and ‘diversity’ are just tools to reach a final stage: sexual anarchy,” he said. “When you drop a frog into boiling water, it jumps right out. But when you put the same frog in lukewarm water and increase the temperature slowly, the frog cooks to death without reacting. So, we need to speak up in charity and truth before it's too late.”

The TFP Student Action website includes more details, including a listing by state, the names of the pro-homosexual groups involved, and how to contact a school’s administrators to register a protest. To visit the TFP Student Action website, Click Here.
