Dear Friends,We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! On this special day, we have the opportunity to thank God for his ongoing graces. Friday, December 3 - A Very Special Day!December 3 is Terri's Birthday! Terri would have been 47 years of age and there is not a day that goes by that we don't think of our beloved sister and daughter. It is because of Terri's unnecessary and inhumane death we established Terri's Network to protect others like her. And just as we have been doing since her untimely death, we will remain devoted to helping protect all those that are in jeopardy of being put to death the same way Terri was. Death Panel & Taxes!Recently, Economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman went on record saying that the only way to get out of this debt crisis is by the use of "death panels" and a national sales tax. Krugman made his comments on ABC's "This Week" and has been causing quite a stir. Here's what he said: "Some years down the pike, we're going to get the real solution, which is going to be a combination of death panels and sales taxes. It's going to be that we're actually going to take Medicare under control, and we're going to have to get some additional revenue, probably from a VAT. But it's not going to happen now." We will make sure to keep you updated on this vital health care issue and will include stories from leading experts (as we have done in this newsletter) that continue to expose Obamacare and what it will mean for our most vulnerable brothers and sisters.
Don't Forget - Terri's Day 2011!March 31, 2005, is the anniversary of Terri's cruel and needless dehydration death. In an effort to never forget Terri, and all of our brain-injured loved ones, Terri's Network has established "Terri's Day!", which is observed every March 31. The purpose of this day is to foster education, prayer, and activism regarding discrimination against the disabled, and advocacy for people in situations similar to what Terri and our family faced. March 31, 2011, will be the 6-year anniversary of Terri's death. As in years past, along with Father Pavone as the main Celebrant, we will be having a mass to remember Terri. Terri's Mass will be held once again at the Ave Maria Oratory, located on the Ave Maria University campus. Terri's Network will also be making the exciting announcement in the upcoming weeks regarding the 2nd Annual Terri SchiavoLife & Hope Concert!
